It may have been a fairly insignificant role. And there may have been young people hiding behind the camera who could easily have played the part. But it was clear to me from the outset that I was going to end up as a grumpy old man, whether I liked it or not.
The five-minute film was written by a really talented young person and was the everyday story of taxi folk set in the extremely eventful world of Connexions Cabs. And among the cast of cleaners, customers, cab drivers and switchboard operators was a very grumpy old man.
