What does your work involve? A lot of young people come here voluntarily and take part in a wide range of activities. For those people that want to, I look at moving them on, by giving them some kind of credit for the stuff they've done.
How do you go about doing this? In my role as participation development worker for young people's achievement, I identify activities that I can work well with. For example, we do quite a lot of outreach work and outdoor education and have a climbing wall, which lots of young people are really excited about.
So I found accreditation for it; an introduction to outdoor climbing in a five- to six-week course, which means they have something at the end.
