I am a new worker in a local church and know most of the youngsters that come to the youth club. However, a group of siblings I don't know have been coming to every session, dirty and smelly, and it seems to be getting worse, but they always appear to have the latest gadgets.
The fact that no one appears to be encouraging them to bathe or change their clothes could indicate there are some challenges at home. It's long been acknowledged that a child's poor personal hygiene is often a sign of neglect (more so when there is more than one child involved).
