Ask the Expert: Multi-agency partnerships

We are preparing to increase the support we offer to families with complex needs and have developed partnerships with a range of agencies. While most are engaged in the process, some are not as open to innovation and co-operation, especially on tight budgets. How can we change this?

 It is well worth individual discussions with agencies to allow them to express their reservations in a private meeting. You can then work with them on finding ways they can help, which may not be direct cash budgets, but facilities, support, research, hosting meetings, events, transport – things that are part of their existing resource base used a little differently.
