The money, from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, will be used to fund a series of conferences and campaigns aimed at boosting youth arts and enabling networking within the sector.
Southampton-based youth arts development organisation Artswork set up Enyan in June 2006. Anna Rubycz, Enyan development manager, said the first year's work has involved regional launches across England, the creation of nine regional advisory panels and a national steeringgroup.
She said the two-year grant from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation is crucial in taking this work further. "The money will help fund the delivery of seminars in each region over the next two years," she said. "The seminars will be based on what each region needs. Panels have been set up to determine what the requirements are and will involve key speakers, as well as the opportunity for networking.
