ARTS BEAT: Phone theft

Year 8 pupils from Aldersley High School were asked by professional company Gazebo Theatre in Education to share their experiences. They helped plan scenes and devise scenarios for Pay as You Go, a 45-minute production showing how mobile theft can affect a person's life. The show will be performed at local secondary schools and includes phone safety advice. Superintendent Andy Nicholson, of West Midlands Police, who was involved in the production, said: "Pay as You Go is an innovative way of engaging young people and raising awareness of a very real problem."
