Concerns were raised in Parliament last week that magistrates are not dealing with breaches of the orders severely enough.
Home Office minister Tony McNulty said he would seek to ensure the issue is addressed in a wider review of antisocial behaviour interventions, which is due to be commissioned later this year.
The review will focus on effectiveness of interventions, and is expected to report in spring 2009. A spokeswoman for the Home Office said it was being commissioned in response to a recommendation in the National Audit Office's 2006 report, Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour.
