Cabinet committees consist of secretaries of state and ministers from different departments. They make decisions on key government policies.
The Antisocial Behaviour Committee, which Blair will chair, will also include children's minister Beverley Hughes, Home Office minister Hazel Blears, Education Secretary Ruth Kelly and Home Secretary Charles Clarke.
The Prime Minister's spokesman said the committee would examine issues including the use of antisocial behaviour orders, graffiti and the strengthening of communities.
