
When looking at antisocial behaviour, we have to see this as the surface and the branches. I believe that beneath the surface lie many roots.
These roots can cause the branches to prosper and be fruitful - or cause the branches to bear bad fruits.
I believe that "antisocial" young people usually act this way as a reaction to an issue or even a number of issues.
If we can get to and identify these root causes or issues, maybe we could come to more possible solutions.
So here is what I would do. I would employ more young people to work in teams such as the youth response team in Haringey, to take the time to go into areas where antisocial behaviour rates are high.
