Advice and guidance: Young Scot's site proves web hit

The Young Scot website received a record number of hits last year, according to the organisation's annual report.

The site, which provides advice on a range of issues from education and training to housing and money, received three million hits during 2006/07. The annual report also shows that the charity generated an income of £2.328m in 2007, £15,000 less than in 2006.

Gregor Urquhart, communications director for Young Scot, said the website continues to go from strength to strength. He added that he was not concerned about the dip in funding: "We've got a three-year work plan in place which covers all the core services."
