A place to play: School opens first phase of new facilities

Jay Doughty, 10, and nine-year-old Daniel Tagoe enjoy playing in a new sandpit at Manor School in Kensal Rise, London. The special school has just completed the first phase of a new playground, which also features a climbing wall and three miniature houses made of blocks, after raising 30,000, of which 10,000 came from an anonymous donation. The second phase of the project will include an enclosed area for ball games, and the school now hopes to raise another 90,000.
