It's no great surprise that the current generation of children and young people is among the most fervent advocates for environmental action. Surveys show that the global environment is among the top concerns for teenagers in Britain today.
A poll out last month from the Future Foundation of 1,600 16- to 19-year-olds found that teenagers rate knowledge of environmental issues and recycling among the most important personal attributes. It comes above, for instance, financial awareness or performing well at sport.
