The announcement comes amid concerns youth offending teams (YOTs) have been left in limbo without a clear idea of how much they will get to sustain services.
John Drew, chief executive of the YJB, told delegates at the YJB convention in Newport that his organisation has been made aware of the outline allocation for the next four years from the Ministry of Justice.
However, he added that the future of annual funding from the Home Office and Department for Education – worth around £71m last year – is unclear.
Remaining YOT funding is to be decided locally by local authorities, probation, police and health partners.
