The campaign is part of the pre-launch activity for Lifetracks.com, a new online resource that aims to help young people with work, study and training.
Experts from the fashion, music, hairdressing and catering industries have already taken part in a promotional video to encourage young people to get involved.
Fiona Dawe, chief executive at YouthNet, said: "The best careers advice doesn’t always come from a parent, teacher or careers adviser, which is why it’s so important we hear real-life stories from real people.
"Our aim is that these videos will provide an insight into the experiences of others – helping to inspire young people to make the choices that are right for them."
Designed to be a central place on the internet for young people to find out about work, study or training, Lifetracks.com will feature video and audio content alongside articles providing information and support.
Young people can upload a video of their best piece of careers advice to YouTube, linking it to www.youtube.com/yourlifeontrack, or visit www.lifetracks.com/yourlifeontrack for more information.
The website is one element of the UK-wide Lifetracks programme being delivered by a consortium of four youth charities: The Foyer Federation, Skill, Rathbone and YouthNet.
