Ukrainian refugees thank young people at Feltham YOI for messages of support

Ukrainian refugees have thanked young people at a young offender’s institution (YOI) for sending messages of support amid the war with Russia.

Young people at Feltham YOI, in west London, explored the crisis in Ukraine through art sessions with youth workers from Kinetic Youth.

The sessions saw young people express their feelings about war through art using the yellow and blue colours of the Ukrainian national flag.

Esther Horner, former chief executive of Kinetic Youth, shared images of the artwork on LinkedIn before leaving the charity to take up the role of deputy director of youth work at the National Youth Agency.
