The charity is making £100 available to local units for each girl from Ukraine recruited in the organisation's Guide, Brownie, Rainbow and Ranger units for different ages.

This will cover the cost of uniform and membership fees and to help women from the country looking to volunteer for the charity, as well as to cover any costs of translating documents.

The one-off payment will support around 300 girls and women to join the organisation, while they remain in the UK and seek refuge from their war torn country.

The support been funded through a grant from the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
