UK Youth chief Charlotte Hill quits to lead social action campaign

Step Up To Serve, the campaign that aims to get more than 50 per cent of young people involved in social action by 2020, has appointed Charlotte Hill as chief executive.

Hill, currently chief executive of the charity UK Youth, will take up the post on 22 April.

The Prince of Wales launched the Step Up To Serve campaign in November last year, with cross-party support, to double the number of children and young people involved in social action from current levels.

“This is such an exciting challenge to take on and I am thrilled to be playing a key role in the campaign", said Hill.

“My goal will be to get the active involvement of people across all sectors so that we can get millions more young people making social action a habit for life.”
