The tool, the Alarm Distress Baby Scale (ADBB), has been used in two sites since its launch in June 2023 as part of a trial funded by the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood and the Institute of Health Visiting (iHV).

The trial of the ADBB will now be extended to eight further NHS foundation trusts across the UK including in Hampshire, Rotherham and South Warwickshire thanks to an additional grant of £210,000 from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
