Peacock, who is MP for Barnsley South, will take on the role of minister for sport, media, civil society and youth.
Her portfolio lists “youth”, however, little detail is given on what this will entail.
Peacock’s other responsibilities are listed as:

media
civil society

legislation and corporate
gambling (in the House of Commons)
She was previously MP for Barnsley East between 2017 and the last general election and had been a shadow minister for DCMS since July 2022.
After DCMS confirmed her brief, Peacock wrote on X: “Great to be part of DCMS team as minister for sport, media, civil society and youth. Looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
Her appointment comes days after the Department for Education confirmed former social worker Janet Daby as children’s minister and Stephen Morgan as minister for early years.
