Sexual health charity creates Valentine's advice card

Health
Sexual health charity Brook is encouraging 16- to 18-year-olds to talk about sex and relationships on Valentine's Day.

The charity has launched a fold-out card, All You Need for a Romantic Dinner, featuring conversation starters and advice on what to talk about. The card, produced by young volunteers, will be distributed from Brook centres, London colleges and other young people’s charities.

A 21-year-old volunteer involved in producing the card said: "It can be really difficult when you’re expected to hook up with someone and sleep with them. The idea of the 'Z' card is unique because it is created by young people for young people."

Research from charity 4Children in 2008 found that young people felt pressured to be physically attractive and in a relationship on Valentine’s Day.
