1 min read Social Care
A centre aimed at raising the standards of serious case reviews has been launched.

Run jointly by Kingston University and St George's, University of London, the Centre for Inquiries and Reviews will also look at improving the standard of independent inquiries into deaths and serious injuries of children and vulnerable adults.

The centre will be headed by Kingston University social work professor Dr Ray Jones and will offer advice to local safeguarding children's boards, health trusts and councils on the way they carry out investigations.

Dr Jones said: "The Centre for Inquiries and Reviews will have an important role to play in helping us all learn how to drive forward further improvements in the care and protection of children and adults."
