London Freeze is the event that teenagers are talking about. The snow sports and music festival will take place at London's Battersea Power Station between 30 October and 1 November.

The festival involves the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup and the International Freestyle Ski Competition, as well as two live music stages. Headline acts include the pioneering dance and electronica act Orbital and Mercury Music Prize nominees Friendly Fires. The three-day event, which also features world-class snowboarders and skiers, will be covered by Channel 4.

Furry hats will be all the rage among young people this winter. Whether the style is similar to a Russian trooper hat with fur all over or aviator hats with fur just on the inside (faux fur, of course), they are quickly becoming winter 2009's must-have item. Lily Allen, Jay-Z and Madonna have all been spotted sporting this fashion trend and no doubt the hats will be available to buy on the high street as winter arrives. Don't be surprised to see girls and boys turn up to your project donning the latest designs when the weather turns cold.
