NYRG launches website to tackle youth homelessness

Youth Work
A new website has launched to showcase best practice in preventing youth homelessness.

Created by the National Youth Reference Group (NYRG), which informs and advises government departments, it will provide access to toolkits, policies, case studies and best practice all based on the learning of two years of NYRG operations.

The website is online at www.nationalyouthreferencegroup.co.uk.

Minister for housing Ian Austin said: "It's really important that we listen to young people and take their views into account. If we want our plans to tackle youth homelessness to be successful, young people's experiences and views need to be at the heart of them.

"That's why I'm calling on all local authorities to listen carefully to the points that young people's groups like the NYRG make and ensure that they are reflected in their services and strategies."
