The Jigsaw initiative aims to reduce homelessness among LGBT young people who may have faced rejection from their families, persecution in their communities or homophobic hate crimes.
Legal advisers Stonewall Housing, young people's homelessness charity Albert Kennedy Trust and mental health organisations Pace and Galop have teamed up to provide specialist advice.
Jigsaw co-ordinator Michael Nastari said: "The effects of homophobia on young people's lives can be devastating. As a result, they can fail to succeed in education, miss out on employment and training, and suffer a range of mental health issues.
"Jigsaw is the first initiative to put the pieces together, making a clear picture of the portfolio of support available."
Examples of Jigsaw services include advice to improve housing situations, support and improve emotional wellbeing and highlight education and training opportunities.
Jigsaw will also provide access to youth groups to allow young people to build up social networks.
