
Up to 450 bursaries at NVQ Levels 2 and 3 are expected to be awarded in the first year of the fund, as part of the NYA's national initiative to help grow the workforce.
Placements will be co-ordinated via the professional body for youth work in England's regional network of partners.
The NYA said it was already accepting expressions of interest in the scheme for those wanting to join cohorts in 2020.
The initiative follows figures released by the NYA in the summer which showed the number of youth work training programmes had fallen in an ongoing annual trend.
According to a monitoring report validated by the NYA, the proportion of higher educational institutions offering training programmes in the sector declined in 2017/18 with just 41 programmes on offer in England.
