New head of children's services for Newham

Kim Bromley-Derry has been appointed executive director of children and young people's services at the London Borough of Newham.

He moves from South Tyneside Council, where he was director of children and young people’s services.

“Newham is a really exciting place to be,” he said. “There is huge potential here and I want to make sure children and young people benefit from these opportunities.”

Bromley-Derry takes over from Liz Graham, who had taken on the role on an interim basis.
