Manifesto: Your sector needs you

3 mins read
Children Now is giving frontline workers the chance to set the policy agenda through a manifesto to be put before ministers. With all 20 proposals now put forward, we need readers to decide which 10 should go into the final document. Tristan Donovan explains.

Nine weeks ago Children Now launched a major campaign to help identify the next steps needed for children's services in the UK (Children Now, 28 February-6 March).

In every issue since then we've invited readers to submit ideas on how to improve children's services and asked readers to vote for their favourite proposals. The 10 that get the most support will be included in the Children Now Manifesto.

The manifesto will bring together ideas developed and supported by children's professionals for improving the quality of services for children and their families. It will be a chance for those in the sector to set the policy agenda. And once the manifesto is complete, Children Now will campaign for its ideas to become reality.
