Ian Parker, who worked in a number of play centres in the London borough of Westminster for 23 years, died last August, aged 50, due to an inoperable brain tumour. City of Westminster Council will celebrate his life with the climbing wall at Lisson Green Play Centre.
Parker's wife Linda said: "Before Ian died we talked about how we could celebrate his life.
"He told me didn't want to have a bench, as he didn't want any one 'sitting' on him, and it was clear he wanted something that could be used and enjoyed by children and was more permanent than flowers. I think this is a very fitting tribute that would have made Ian very happy."
