Sutton Council was rated “good” by inspectors, the same rating as was handed down to the local authority at an inspection in November 2016, but they noted that “leaders and managers have strengthened and consolidated the effective work that was taking place at the time of the previous inspection”.
The impact of leadership on social work practice at the council was rated “outstanding”.
Inspectors praised the “relentless” work of staff “to ensure that children and their families in Sutton benefit from good and effective services”, particularly during the pandemic.
