A young offender institution in Cambridgeshire has been criticised in a report over serious failings in the way it was set up.

The YOI unit at Littlehey holds 480 young adults aged between 18 and 21, having been opened in February 2010.

But a number of issues with how the unit was set up were identified. These included poor building quality and layout, and a short induction period for new staff at the unit.
