Latest Covid-19 guidance for children’s social care, education, early years and youth work providers

Services supporting vulnerable children and young people face changes to Covid-19 guidance as more restrictions lift across the UK.

Guidance aimed at local authority children’s services, youth services, early years and education providers has been updated after restrictions including work from home guidance and the use of face coverings in schools were dropped this week (26 January).

CYP Now looks at how restrictions are changing where to find up to date guidance:

Social care

The ADCS has tracked and updated guidance for those working in children’s social care. A spreadsheet containing details of guidance is available here.

Education

Teachers in both mainstream and special schools and those working in further education have seen changes to guidance including the use of face coverings for all children in Year 7 and above and the reintroduction of funding to cover staffing reductions due to the pandemic.
