As families embrace the opportunity to legally gather indoors and hug their relatives - many for the first time in over a year - CYP Now looks at how the most recent changes affect the childcare and youth sectors.

Childcare

As of 17 May, up to six people from different households or a larger number of no more than two households can meet indoors without the need for a formal childcare arrangement.

All children can go to registered childcare, childminders, wraparound care and other supervised children’s activities indoors and outdoors.

Parent and child groups can take place indoors as well as outdoors, with up to 30 people and children under five who are accompanying a parent or guardian do not count towards this limit.
