The manifesto, titled Change., launched by Labour Party leader Keir Starmer in Manchester today (Thursday), sets out a series of measures aimed at boosting opportunities for young people.
It pledges to tackle child poverty with an “ambitious strategy” and build 1.5 million affordable homes for families while not increasing VAT, income tax or national insurance.
The party has also pledged to introduce free breakfast clubs in every primary school, while investing £35mn on 3,000 new nurseries in existing primary schools.
The manifesto states the party will invest £95mn in Young Futures Hubs, which will have youth workers, mental health support workers, and careers advisers on hand to support young people’s mental health and avoid them being drawn into crime.
