The one-year course, Therapeutic Skills for Work with Children, will be delivered by London Metropolitan University from January next year.
According to Kids Company, the course is suitable for anyone working with children, including social care workers, classroom assistants, teachers and youth workers. The charity hopes the course will enhance "creative and relational approaches" to working with children and young people.
"We have evidence that positive change is possible through genuine and consistent relationships," said Jocelyne Quennell, clinical director at Kids Company. "At the end of the course students will be better able to safeguard children, as well as to inspire their imagination, motivation and potential."
