In the December edition of CYP Now: Lighthouse project; Election guide; and evidence and impact special

In the latest edition, CYP Now pays a visit to the Lighthouse, a groundbreaking project aimed at improving experiences and outcomes for children and young people who have been sexually abused.

Manager at the Lighthouse Emma Harewood and her team explain how the project – based on Iceland's Barnahus model – offers a range of support services for young victims under one roof.

As the general election draws near, our four-page guide outlines the key policies relating to children, young people and families being put forward by the main political parties.

The 12-page special report looks at key developments in gathering evidence and measuring impact across the children and families sector. Practice examples include rapid cycle design and testing for children with behavioural and emotional difficulties; a user-generated guide to navigate the asylum system for unaccompanied children; an early learning toolkit for disadvantaged families in Kent; and the benefits being accrued by councils using the Valuing Care approach.
