In the August edition of CYP Now: Families in crisis, youth work impact, and school exclusions

1 min read
The August edition of CYP Now spends a day with Liverpool Council's Instant Response Team, which provides intensive support for families in crisis.

The Instant Response Team - winner of the 2017 CYP Now award for public sector children's team of the year - works to prevent children being taken into care.

The Special Report: Youth Work Impact takes an in depth look at the latest developments in policy, practice and research on how youth services and organisations demonstrate the benefit they have on outcomes.

Practice examples include: Kinetic Youth's work at Werrington Young Offender Institution; Creative:connection project brings disabled and able-bodied children together; UK Youth's FutureProof safeguarding training programme; and the youth work quality mark in Wales.
