Jacqueline Adusei is chief executive of Ekaya, a black and minority ethnic housing association that provides housing and support services for teenage parents in South London.
She is the latest member of the Teenage Pregnancy Independent Advisory Group (TPIAG), which helps to guide and monitor the Government's strategy for teenage pregnancy.
Children's minister Beverley Hughes said: "As both government and the group work together to continue to reduce teenage pregnancy rates and improve the very poor outcomes of teenage parents and their children, Jacqueline's skills and experience with young parents will be invaluable."
The TPIAG was formed in 2000 in a bid to support the government's aims to halve the under 18 conception rate in England by 2010 and improve outcomes for teenage parents and their children.
