Government consults on children's trust plans

The government is consulting on new regulations for children's trusts and Children and Young People's Plans.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families consultation has been published in response to the granting of Royal Assent this week for the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Bill, which puts children's trust boards on a statutory footing.

The new legislation also gives responsibility for preparing, publishing, reviewing and revising Children and Young People's Plans to children's trust boards.

The consultation covers new guidance on the content of plans, their publication, and the people and bodies that must be consulted on plans.

The roles and responsibilities of the children's trust board are also covered in the consultation.
