Frontline – which is best known for its fast-track social work training scheme – will deliver DfE’s Pathways programme from late 2022 for at least two years, the organisation has announced.

The scheme will replace its Firstline and Headline programmes and will support 1,000 council workers across four different levels of leadership: practice supervisors, middle managers, heads of service and practice leaders.

Frontline will deliver the programme over the next two years in partnership with What Works for Children’s Social Care (WWCSC) and North Yorkshire County Council, supported by Hertfordshire County Council.

Training will be delivered through both face-to-face and online learning with WWCSC delivering modules on evidence and evaluation at management level.
