Mudit Matanhelia’s four-year-old son Josh and three-year-old daughter Zoe were both diagnosed with hearing loss at their newborn hearing screenings, and have both benefitted from charity Auditory Verbal UK’s (AVUK) early intervention therapy programme.

The family-centred programme delivers auditory verbal therapy to equip parents with the skills needed to develop their child’s listening and talking skills through play-based activities.

Matanhelia met with his Victoria Prentis, MP for North Oxfordshire and Attorney General for England and Wales, to discuss how the therapy helped his family.

He is supporting the charity's work to lobby the government to invest in auditory verbal therapy so that all families with young deaf children can access it.
