The centre, based in St Peter's House in Gower Street, will house representatives from a range of agencies and voluntary sector organisations, who will work to support people suffering domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and harassment.
Derby Community Safety Partnership has set up the service, which is based on the Croydon Family Justice Centre, to bring agencies including the police, the city council and health, housing, refugees and education services under one roof.
The city's safety partnership director Sharon Squires said: "Agencies and voluntary sector organisations have been working well to support victims but it has sometimes been difficult for victims to identify which services can help them, often relying on the individual to have the strength of character and the wherewithal to seek out the different services they need."
