The programme will link lessons in an age-appropriate way to different careers, training and skills, and will provide students with opportunities to meet employers from a range of industries to nurture aspirations.

It will be rolled-out across 55 of the UK's most disadvantaged areas where educational outcomes are the weakest for young people, and will support more than 600,000 pupils in more than 2,200 primary schools.

The new scheme is backed by £2.6 million in funding until 2025.

The programme will be delivered by The Careers and Enterprise Company’s career hubs – four in the first year, an additional 10 in the second, and a further nine in the third.
