Oak Academy to remain open

The online Oak National Academy which has supported children’s learning during school closures will stay open for another academic year, it has been announced.

During lockdown the academy has delivered more than 13 million lessons online.

It will now act as a free teaching resource for parents and teachers to help children catch up as lockdown measures lift, delivering 10,000 lessons over the next academic year due to £4.34 funding from the Department for Education.
