Funding boost for schools 

The government has announced further details of the £1bn of catch-up funding for schools in a bid to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on disadvantaged children.

The announcement came alongside the reiteration of plans to increase funding for state schools by between two and three per cent as part of the second year of the government’s school funding settlement worth a total of £14.4 billion over three years.
