CONTINYOU TO LAUNCH VISION FOR COMMUNITY FOCUSED SCHOOLS

ContinYou is to launch its Vision for Community Focused Schools at a conference in Llandrindod Wells on 27 November.

The education charity's Transforming Schools, Transforming Communities conference will look at the role of community-focused schools and out-of-school-hours learning in Wales.
There will be discussions on creating the school for the future, regenerating communities, small and rural schools and supporting those not in education, employment or training.
The event will be chaired by Sioned Bowen, trustee of ContinYou. Panel members include: Susan Lewis, chief inspector of Estyn; Elizabeth Taylor, director of children and schools group at the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills at the Welsh Assembly Government; and Paul Dear, head of the assembly government's Communities First Unit.
