He will focus on the idea of introducing a £2.5 billion “Pupil Premium” scheme for disadvantaged children, which would provide schools with extra funding for every disadvantaged child they teach.
The cash for the scheme would come from scrapping child trust funds and getting rid of child tax credits for the richest families.
Clegg will also talk more broadly about the future of educational reform and the challenges associated with the changing needs of schools.
