Announcing the decision in a newsletter sent to YJB members today (13 January), Sturt said: “With my two-year contract coming to an end, I will be moving to a new role outside the Civil Service”.

She added that the move comes amid “internal reorganisation” as the YJB works to deliver on plans set by its board of directors “to boost our impact and rebalance how we deliver our statutory functions, changing our focus from being driven by risk to being driven by benefits”.

“I am looking forward to progressing this work over the next few months and will aim to see it completed before my tenure comes to an end in April,” Sturt said.
