
Ofsted inspectors praised steps taken by Staffordshire County Council by February 2019 to address deteriorations in services it identified in a June 2018 focused visit.
The council retained its overall "good" judgment as a result, despite being downgraded in one area, the experiences and progress of children who need help and protection, to "requires improvement".
In 2018, inspectors said in a letter following their visit that a rise in workloads caused by increased turnover of social workers had led to a small number of children not receiving a good enough level of service.
"Many social workers are struggling to see children enough in order to make direct work meaningful and to achieve change," it said.
