Children's club closed after child protection arrests

1 min read Early Years
A children's club in Gloucestershire has been closed following the arrests of two men linked to the club as part of a child protection investigation.

Additions Childcare, based in Quedgeley, is being investigated by Ofsted, after a police raid found computers relating to the offences. An Ofsted spokesman said: "We have suspended Addition's registration after hearing concerns about the nursery that suggested children may be at risk of harm."

Additions runs a morning and after-school childcare service during term-time and an all day service in the holidays.

Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board is working with Ofsted and the Police to co-ordinate and relocate children to other clubs.

Gloucestershire Police said there is no evidence to suggest that any harm has come to the children who attend the club and management are co-operating with the investigation. Numerous properties in the area that are connected with the men have also been searched.
