Dame Rachel De Souza describes her second review into family life as “a chance to change” the way that government and policy makers “shy away” from recognising the importance of the role of the family.

She pledges to “move the dial on parenting” and makes recommendations to reform services to better support families, with a family hub in every neighbourhood.

The government-commissioned independent review A positive approach to parenting, looks at how the family policymaking framework could be reformed to maximise the power of strong family relationships.

De Souza calls on the government to prioritise the roll-out of family hubs which are currently operating in 75 out of the 150 local authorities in England.
